Harry Potter: 25 Years of Magic in Estepona

When: 3–5 September 2026
Where: Various locations across Estepona
Official agenda: https://turismo.estepona.es/agenda/

One of the most unusual events on the Costa del Sol this week takes place in Estepona.

From 3 to 5 September, the town celebrates 25 Years of Magic with a complete programme dedicated to Harry Potter.

The celebrations begin on Thursday 3 September with an outdoor screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone at Parque Botánico Orquidario at 21:30.

Friday offers the biggest programme. Visitors can explore a Harry Potter universe exhibition, join an escape room, watch a magical parade through the centre and finish the evening with a symphonic Harry Potter concert at Plaza del Reloj.

Finally, Saturday morning features themed board games at Centro Cultural Padre Manuel.

For families and Harry Potter fans, this is easily one of the most distinctive things to do in Costa del Sol this week.

Premios Juventud Comes to Marbella

When: Thursday 3 September 2026
Where: Starlite Occident, Cantera de Nagüeles, Marbella
Official website: https://starlitefestival.com/

September starts strongly at Starlite Occident.

On Thursday, Premios Juventud comes to Marbella, bringing a major Latin entertainment event to the famous Nagüeles quarry.

The night fits perfectly with Marbella's international summer atmosphere. It is especially interesting for younger travellers, Latin music fans and groups of friends looking for a high-energy evening.

Because Starlite combines live entertainment with restaurants, terraces and after-parties, you can easily turn the event into a complete night out.

Manuel Carrasco at Starlite Marbella

When: Friday 4 September 2026
Where: Cantera de Nagüeles, Calle Albinoni, Marbella

Friday belongs to one of Spain's most successful contemporary singers.

Manuel Carrasco performs at Starlite as part of the final stretch of Marbella's 2026 summer concert season.

For international visitors, his concert is also an excellent opportunity to experience modern Spanish music beyond flamenco and Latin pop.

Spend the afternoon exploring Marbella Old Town, enjoy an early dinner and head towards Nagüeles afterwards.

Wisin Live in Marbella

When: Saturday 5 September 2026
Where: Starlite Occident, Marbella

Latin music continues on Saturday with Wisin.

The Puerto Rican artist brings reggaeton and urban sounds to Starlite, creating one of the strongest nightlife options of the weekend.

This concert is particularly suited to couples and groups of friends looking for a late summer party atmosphere.

With Premios Juventud, Manuel Carrasco and Wisin on three consecutive nights, Marbella is arguably the music capital of the Costa del Sol this week.

Chambao at Marenostrum Fuengirola

When: Sunday 6 September 2026
Where: Marenostrum Fuengirola, Castillo Sohail
Official website: https://marenostrumfuengirola.com/

Sunday brings a completely different musical atmosphere.

Chambao performs at Marenostrum Fuengirola, combining flamenco influences with relaxed Mediterranean sounds.

Few artists fit the location better. Marenostrum sits beside Castillo Sohail and overlooks the sea, creating an excellent setting for an end-of-week concert.

Combine the show with an afternoon on Fuengirola's beach and dinner along the Paseo Marítimo before walking towards the venue.

For couples, this is our Mediterranean experience of the week.

Semana Cultural de La Mosca in Málaga

When: 4–6 September 2026
Where: Parque Rafael Santiago, Málaga
Official agenda: https://www.malaga.eu/la-ciudad/agenda/

Want to experience something more local?

From Friday to Sunday, Málaga hosts the Semana Cultural de La Mosca at Parque Rafael Santiago.

Unlike the international concerts elsewhere on the coast, this is a neighbourhood celebration. Therefore, it offers visitors another perspective on daily life and local culture in Málaga.

It is a good choice if you have already explored the main sights and want to spend an evening away from the most tourist-oriented areas.

K-Pop Exhibition in Málaga

When: Tuesday 1 September 2026
Where: Recinto Eduardo Ocón, Málaga

Tuesday brings something completely different to Málaga's summer cultural programme.

The Asociación Hallyu presents a K-pop exhibition at the outdoor Recinto Eduardo Ocón.

The event forms part of the city's programme supporting young and emerging culture. It offers an interesting alternative to traditional Andalusian entertainment and shows just how varied Málaga's cultural scene has become.

Combine it with an evening walk through the historic centre and Muelle Uno.

La Gran Espetada in Estepona

When: Saturday 5 September 2026
Where: Escollera del Puerto Pesquero, Estepona

For something distinctly local, head to Estepona's fishing harbour on Saturday.

La Gran Espetada offers visitors a free tasting of grilled sardines.

The espeto is one of Málaga province's most recognisable culinary traditions. Sardines are skewered and grilled over an open fire, usually beside the beach.

Therefore, this event is much more than a free food tasting. It is an easy way to discover a food tradition closely connected to the Costa del Sol.

Explore Benalmádena's Pre-Columbian Museum

When: Sunday 6 September 2026
Where: Museo de Arte Precolombino Felipe Orlando, Benalmádena Pueblo
Official website: https://www.benalmadena.es/

Benalmádena offers an interesting cultural alternative on Sunday with the guided activity De América a Benalmádena.

The visit focuses on the town's Pre-Columbian Museum and its collection of archaeological objects from Latin America.

It is particularly suitable for couples, families with older children and travellers who want a cultural activity away from the beach.

Afterwards, stay in Benalmádena Pueblo for lunch and explore its traditional white streets.

Costa Card Local Tip

Early September is one of our favourite periods to explore the Costa del Sol.

The summer atmosphere is still present, but the busiest weeks of July and August have passed. Therefore, it becomes easier to combine beaches, villages, cultural visits and evening events in a single day.

Use the morning for sightseeing or an activity. Enjoy the beach or a long lunch during the afternoon. Then explore the week's events once temperatures start to fall.
