Things to Do in Costa del Sol This Week (24–30 August 2026)
Looking for the best things to do in Costa del Sol this week? From 24 to 30 August, the Costa del Sol shifts into a different rhythm after the Feria de Málaga, but the summer event calendar certainly isn't slowing down.
Fuengirola welcomes three days of rock and metal beside the Mediterranean, Marbella brings major international artists to Starlite, while Málaga and Estepona offer everything from jazz and exhibitions to electronic music and equestrian culture.
Here are the Costa Card highlights for the upcoming week.
Sun & Thunder Takes Over Fuengirola
When: 27–29 August 2026
Where: Marenostrum Fuengirola, C. Tartesios, Fuengirola
Rock and metal fans have one particularly good reason to visit Fuengirola this week.
Sun & Thunder 26 takes place across three days at Marenostrum, combining live music with one of the Costa del Sol's most impressive seaside concert locations.
The line-up includes names such as Avantasia, Soen, Lordi, Eivør, Primal Fear, Destruction, Harakiri for the Sky and Gaerea. Doors open from 16:30, with performances beginning from 17:00.
Instead of a traditional city festival, Sun & Thunder deliberately combines a beach holiday with rock and metal. Spend the morning by the Mediterranean and head towards Castillo Sohail later in the afternoon.

Gloria Trevi at Starlite Marbella
When: Monday 24 August, 22:00
Where: Auditorio Starlite, Cantera de Nagüeles, Marbella
Starlite starts the week with Mexican superstar Gloria Trevi.
Her Marbella appearance is scheduled for Monday evening at 22:00, making it one of the week's strongest options for Latin pop fans.
Combine the concert with an afternoon in Marbella Old Town or an early dinner before heading towards Nagüeles.
Nile Rodgers & CHIC – 26 August
When: Wednesday 26 August, 22:00
Where: Auditorio Starlite, Marbella
Our international concert pick of the week is Nile Rodgers & CHIC.
Few artists have influenced disco, funk and pop as extensively as Nile Rodgers. On Wednesday evening, he brings CHIC to the Starlite auditorium in Marbella.
For visitors looking for a big-name international concert during their Costa del Sol holiday, this should be high on the list.

Love of Lesbian at Starlite
When: Saturday 29 August, 22:00
Where: Auditorio Starlite, Marbella
Saturday offers something different.
Spanish alternative rock band Love of Lesbian performs at Starlite as part of the final stretch of the summer concert programme.
This is an especially interesting choice for travellers who want to discover contemporary Spanish music rather than another international headline act.
Free Music & Culture in Málaga
Málaga's famous Feria may be over, but the cultural programme continues.
The Feria de Málaga y festejos: Historia, difusión y publicidad exhibition remains open at the Archivo Municipal until 28 August. It explores the history and promotion of Málaga's Feria through historical programmes and publicity material.
On 25 August, singer-songwriter Yolan Postigo performs at Recinto Eduardo Ocón. Two days later, on 27 August, Quinteto XXI brings jazz to the same outdoor venue. Both form part of Málaga's summer programme for performing arts and emerging music.
That makes the city a good choice if you're looking for things to do in Costa del Sol this week beyond the major ticketed festivals.

San Antón Night Trail – Málaga
When: Friday 28 August
Where: Monte San Antón, Málaga
Want to swap the beach for something more active?
The first San Antón Night Trail takes place on Friday in the natural surroundings of Monte San Antón, one of Málaga's most recognisable hills.
The nighttime format makes this particularly fitting for late August, when daytime temperatures can make strenuous outdoor activities less appealing.
Hugo Toscano in Estepona
When: Friday 28 August, 22:00
Where: Plaza Casa Cañada, Estepona
Friday evening in Estepona offers a more intimate alternative to the large-scale festivals.
Hugo Toscano performs an intimate concert at Plaza Casa Cañada, next to Mercado de Santa Ana, starting at 22:00.
Combine it with dinner in Estepona's Old Town for a relaxed summer evening.
Electrolunch Beach – Free Electronic Music
When: Saturday 29 August, from 12:00
Where: Mirador del Carmen, Estepona
Admission: Free
One of our favourite new discoveries this week is Electrolunch Beach.
The event brings electronic music to the seafront from midday, with M.E.M.O, Avar Garden, Davidmakes, Nana Pure, Nukki and Mendiguetto on the programme. Entry is free.
For visitors looking for a less conventional beach-day experience, this is one of the most interesting free events of the week.
Festival del Arte Ecuestre
When: Saturday 29 August
Where: Plaza de Toros, Estepona
For something completely different, Estepona also hosts its Festival del Arte Ecuestre on Saturday.
The Córdoba-based company Entre Toros y Caballos showcases several disciplines of Spanish equestrian art, including doma vaquera, classical riding, long reins and acrobatic performances.
It provides an opportunity to discover a very different part of Andalusian culture.

Costa Card Local Tip
Late August is an excellent time to adjust your day to the local rhythm.
Use the morning for the beach, sightseeing or an activity. During the hottest hours, enjoy a long lunch, museum or exhibition. Then head outside again in the early evening.
This week's programme makes that particularly easy: many of the best concerts and cultural events start after the temperature begins to fall.
