Experience Feria de Málaga 2026

When: 15–22 August 2026
Where: Málaga Historic Centre & Cortijo de Torres
Official information: https://www.malaga.eu/feria-de-malaga/

If there is one event you should experience this week, make it the Feria de Málaga.

One of Andalucía's biggest summer celebrations continues until Saturday 22 August. During the daytime, Málaga's historic centre fills with music, dancing, traditional dress and busy terraces. Later, the main celebration moves to the Real de Cortijo de Torres, where fairground attractions, casetas, food and live entertainment continue into the night.

The Feria del Centro officially finishes at 18:00. Therefore, a good strategy is to experience central Málaga during the afternoon, enjoy dinner afterwards and continue to Cortijo de Torres in the evening.

The atmosphere makes the Feria interesting for almost every type of visitor. Families can enjoy the attractions, couples can explore the city centre, while groups of friends will find plenty of evening entertainment.

Costa Card tip: Public transport is usually far easier than driving during Feria week.

A New Week of Concerts at Starlite Marbella

When: 17–22 August 2026
Where: Cantera de Nagüeles, Calle Albinoni, 29602 Marbella
Official website: https://starlitefestival.com/programacion-2026/

Starlite Occident completely refreshes its programme again this week.

The confirmed concerts are:

  • 17 August – Taburete
  • 18 August – Antoñito Molina
  • 19 August – Antoñito Molina
  • 20 August – Antonio José
  • 21 August – Niña Pastori
  • 22 August – Pastora Soler

Our recommendation is Niña Pastori on Friday 21 August. Her combination of flamenco roots and contemporary Spanish music makes the concert particularly interesting for international visitors who want a musical experience connected to Andalucía.

Starlite is also easy to combine with a full Marbella day. Spend the afternoon around the Old Town or beach, enjoy an early dinner and head towards Nagüeles afterwards.

Luna Sur Tardeo in Fuengirola

When: 18 August 2026
Time: From 18:00
Where: Marenostrum Fuengirola, Castillo Sohail
Official website: https://marenostrumfuengirola.com/

Want to start your evening earlier?

Luna Sur Tardeo offers a different format from the traditional late-night concert. The event combines indie music and DJs from late afternoon until midnight, with Ultraligera among the featured acts.

Its location beside Castillo Sohail and the Mediterranean makes it particularly attractive around sunset.

For couples and groups of friends who enjoy music but don't necessarily want to stay out until the early morning, this is one of the week's best alternatives.

Galván Real – 21 August

Where: Marenostrum Fuengirola
Doors: 20:00
Show: 22:00
Official website: https://marenostrumfuengirola.com/

Friday brings Galván Real to Fuengirola as part of his tenth-anniversary tour.

His music blends flamenco influences with contemporary Spanish pop. As a result, the concert offers something distinctly different from many international summer performances.

Arrive early and walk along Fuengirola's seafront before heading towards Castillo Sohail. The combination of sunset, dinner and live music creates an easy full-evening plan.

Discover La Plazuela – 22 August

Where: Marenostrum Fuengirola
Show: 22:00

Saturday delivers one of our favourite music recommendations of the week.

Granada duo La Plazuela mixes flamenco influences with funk and electronic music. Their sound feels modern while remaining strongly connected to southern Spanish culture.

That makes this concert especially interesting for travellers who want to hear something more contemporary than traditional flamenco.

The seaside location of Marenostrum completes the experience.

CantaJuego at Castillo Sohail

When: 23 August 2026
Doors: 19:30
Show: 20:30
Where: Castillo Sohail, Fuengirola

Travelling with younger children?

Sunday's CantaJuego – El Payaso Tallarín is one of the strongest family activities this week. The show combines music, dancing, comedy and magic in an accessible format designed specifically for children.

Because it begins at 20:30, families can spend the daytime at the beach before heading towards Castillo Sohail as temperatures become more comfortable.

Enjoy Feria de Cancelada in Estepona

When: 20–23 August 2026
Where: Cancelada, Estepona
Official agenda: https://turismo.estepona.es/agenda/

For a more local Andalusian celebration, head towards Cancelada in the municipality of Estepona.

The Feria de Cancelada runs from 20 to 23 August and offers visitors an opportunity to experience a smaller community fair alongside the much larger Feria de Málaga.

Expect a traditional local atmosphere with entertainment and festivities spread across several days.

This is particularly interesting for travellers staying around Estepona, San Pedro de Alcántara or western Marbella.

Estepona offers several excellent cultural plans this week without needing to spend much.

Finally, the Municipal Band closes its summer concert programme on Sunday 23 August at 21:00 at Plaza del Reloj.

Free Culture in Fuengirola

Fuengirola also offers useful alternatives when you want to escape the afternoon heat.

Address: Calle María Josefa Larrucea, 29640 Fuengirola

Meanwhile, the photography exhibition Guadalquivires remains open at Casa de la Cultura until 28 August.

Address: Avenida Juan Gómez Juanito 12, 29640 Fuengirola

Both exhibitions are free.

In addition, Fuengirola's Municipal Band performs a free jazz concert on Tuesday 18 August in Parque de España. It is an easy evening plan if you are already staying around Fuengirola or Los Boliches.

Costa Card Local Tip

This is one of the busiest weeks of August, so plan around the heat and crowds.

Use the morning for the beach or sightseeing. During Feria de Málaga, explore the centre before late afternoon. Afterwards, take a break and return outside for evening events.

Most importantly, don't try to drive everywhere. Public transport, taxis and walking are often much more convenient around major summer events.
